Filming of NAPT Season 1 is underway with event scheduled across the US and Canada. 

As part of a new strategy to broaden the reach and acquire new customers for its client Pokerstars.net, Kre8 Media sought new integrated program placement opportunities in the US and Canada. In 2009, Kre8 Media placed PokerStars.net television programming on FOX, CBS, ESPN Classic, ESPN 2, and GSN in the U.S. and on Global, City TV, TSN, Sportsnet, OLN, OMNI, and The Score in Canada.

The PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour (NAPT) is the most impressive cable placement thus far.  The NAPT launched in January 2010 and features the giants of the game in casinos all over the continent. From the beaches of the Bahamas to the glitz of Vegas and the hills of Connecticut, the NAPT is hitting the biggest poker venues on earth.  There will be drama with the High-Roller Shootout format, as players start each tournament with a bounty on their heads – eliminate an opponent, pick up $5,000. The player who empties the most pockets takes home a cool $100,000. Each stop on the tour features parties, side games and celebrity competitors, with Jason Alexander, Christian Slater, Mark Wahlberg and Slash already taking part in this season’s play.  Qualifiers to the next NAPT event are running now.

By design, Kre8 placed the show on the leading sports networks in North America in order to brand the PokerStars.net sponsored event as the premier poker tournament in North America.  With a consistent time slot on ESPN 2 and TSN/TSN 2, inventive format, and high quality production, the PokerStars.net North American poker Tour will certainly have a strong inaugural season.
